The Bell at Charlbury

The Scoop

An engineered stainless steel support system designed and manufactured by Winthill Engineering is behind the ‘The Scoop’, a unique concave office building in Southwark, London, designed by leading UK architectural practice, Corstorphine & Wright.

We asked Winthill to join us in creating two very different beach huts. They held our hands and reassured us all the way through the manufacturing process. Even on the last day of ordering and a quick colour change, Tom stayed strong!

They kept in touch all the way through and shared photos. The installation, in blistering heat, was done without a moan. The team were super-efficient and worked really hard.
