At Winthill Engineering, based in Worcestershire, we design, fabricate, and install high-specification architectural metalwork across the West Midlands, the Cotswolds and nationwide.
To deliver an uncompromising finish and offer a single-source solution, we utilise in-house 3D CNC timber machining to craft the complementary timber elements that bring our bespoke metalwork to life.
Scope of Service: Our CNC timber facility operates exclusively to support our integrated metalwork commissions. We do not provide standalone timber cutting, trade sheet routing, or timber-only supply.

In-house Precision Timber Machining
Our Piranha CNC Router featuring an 8 x 4 ft full-sheet vacuum bed allows us to precision cut, drill, profile, pocket and 3D engrave large timber sheets with exact repeatability, quickly. We can work with complex geometries, 3D shapes, blind joinery and tight tolerance recesses.
This means we can create pocketing for concealed hardware, flush-mounted LED channels and sculpted handrails, for example.
Design Software Integration for Pinpoint Accuracy
Our in-house designers bring your ideas to life by creating 3D models of your project. We send those files directly to our automated CNC machine which translates the 3D coordinates into cutting paths, allowing any shape to be cut and carved with pinpoint accuracy.
Timber Selection for Integrated Metal and Woodwork Projects
Our custom architectural woodwork service allows us to perfectly integrate timber with our bespoke metalwork.
The timber is selected to complement our metalwork and ensure structural stability, durability and a flawless aesthetic. We machine and hand-finish a wide variety of hardwoods and sheet materials, including Oak, Ash, Walnut, Iroko and Birch Plywood. FSC-certified timber can be specified upon request.
To encourage a more sustainable approach to construction and home improvement, we can also use reclaimed wood (project dependent), such as timber extracted from a refurbished property or outbuilding.
Timber can be left untreated or coated with branded wood oil or wax for protection.
