Role & Responsibilities
- Produce 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks
- Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and installation teams to develop practical and cost-effective design solutions
- Liaise with suppliers to source materials and components, negotiating for the best pricing and lead times
- Ensure that all designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations
- Assist in site surveys and support project installations as required
- Maintain accurate project documentation and support design revisions throughout the project lifecycle
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in design and fabrication processes
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (2D and 3D design experience essential)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Desired Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in the construction, agricultural, or quarrying industries is desirable
Qualifications
- Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Design Engineering, or a related field
